Hours          It's complicated. Generally our hours are from noon to 8pm but it varies          throughout the season and according to the gazillion activities planned for        the year.  Consult the Printable Calendar below for the specific opening and        closing times by date.

NSJ Spring Membership Meeting

Sunday, May 22  7:30pm under the NSJ Pavilion

All NSJ members are invited to attend this bi-annual board meeting for the membership.  Members will be updated on recent and planned improvements.  Meet this year’s board members and learn about what will be happening at NSJ this summer.

 

Family Fun Days
Sunday, June 12 1:00-4:00pm
Sunday, August 28 1:00-4:00pm

Come celebrate summer with a fun day of activities for the entire family!  DJs will be on hand to spin dancing tunes and lead an afternoon of games, contests, prizes and FUN!  Do you like water balloons?  Splash contests?  Hula hooping?  The party gets better every year!  Bring dinner to cook on the pool’s gas grills or pick up a treat at the new and improved Blue Marlin Grill.  Visit with old friends and make new ones – just be there!

 

Adult Nights

Saturday, July 23 7:00-11:00pm  Live Band and Pot luck

The kids don’t have all the fun at NSJ – wait til you see what we’ve got cookin’ for the 18 and over crowd this summer!  Both events are BYOB.  Members are welcome to invite guests to share in the fun. 

 

CRAB FEAST:  The first NSJ Adult Night, June 18, has become an annual event – an amazing Crab Feast with a DJ providing the entertainment.  Bushels of #1 crabs (you heard right - #1!) will be steamed on site and served al fresco under the NSJ pavilion.  This is a GREAT price for all-you-can-eat crabs.  Come ready to crack!  Dancing under the Pavilion follows.  The menu includes:

-        #1 Steamed Crabs

-        Burgers and dogs

-        Fresh Steamed Corn

-        Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad

-        Dessert Items

-        Bread, rolls soft drinks (BYOB for any other beverages!)

Cost:    $40/member and $45/guest by June 11

            $45/member and $50/guest after June 11

LIVE BAND:  Pull out a pen and mark Saturday, July 23 on your calendar!  MISSPENT YOUTH will be back at NSJ for an incredible night of music and dancing.  Their infectious dance tunes, specializing in ‘80s to current favorites, will have the dance floor shaking (quite literally!) under the Pavilion.  Dress code should probably include your bathing suit – last year it was so hot just about everyone ended up lounging in the pool at some point. You can check out their website at www.misspentyouth.com.  Please bring a munchie to share – your famous hot h’ors d’oeuvres, boxed brownies, secret-ingredient dip, or a bag of chips will do.  Remember, BYOB!

4th of July/Member Appreciation Day

Monday, July 4  1:00-5:00pm

This annual celebration is a blast!  There will be FREE hamburgers and hot dogs, a bike-decorating contest, and some much-loved favorites like the sode/juice-box toss, t-shirt relays, and diving for pennies.  If you’ve never seen the “greased pig” in the dive well, you’ll have to come check it out and maybe even participate!  All-in-One will provide the music and announcing for this once-a-year special event.  Don’t miss it!  [This event is extremely popular – if you plan to arrive late, it might be a good idea to throw some lawn chairs in the back of the car!]

 

Dive-in Movie Night

Wednesday, July 13  7:00-10:00pm (Movie time at 8:00)

Bring the kids and enjoy an evening on the lawn and in the water to watch a kid-friendly movie on a LARGE inflatable screen by the pool.  Because of a few snafoos with last year’s movie night, we will have a much larger screen this year and LOTS of popcorn!  There will be a popcorn machine, music videos and dancing before the film, plus games and prizes for the kids.  A great family night out!

Middle schoolers (rising 6^th graders through graduated 8^th graders) will have three opportunities to get together with their friends this summer for this special evening event just for them.  There will be a DJ playing their favorite music, dancing, swimming, plus pizza and snacks for sale.  This is a popular event, so when the time comes, sign up early!

 

Floats and Floats

Wednesday, August 10

Are you an August member and feel that all the social events have been wrapped up?  Not so!   All NSJ members are invited to a new event this summer!  Bring your FLOATIE to the pool for some lounging and enjoy a complementary ROOT BEER FLOAT.  Exact time of this event to be determined.
