Congratulations to all of the NSJ swimmers who competed in the Straehle competition held on Wednesday at the Four Seasons Sports Complex in Hampstead, Md.

On July 6th our future stud swimmers competed in the Don Schaub Invitational at the Five Oaks Swim Club in Catonsville, Md.  The Don Schaub is a meet conceived to allow novice swimmers an opportunity to compete against like competition.

And while the old men are heaving bricks (and possibly their dinners) the ladies will take to the courts for Wednesday Ladies Tennis Nights. Beginning July 6th and running through August 24th the Tennis Ladies of NSJ will gather on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm to lay the smackdown on neighboring club Forest Hill. Will it make tennis history?  Probably not. Will some of us stand on the deck and hurl insults? Potentially. But it will undoubtedly be a lot of fun. If I were woman and not the World's Worst Tennis Player I'd join you.

Still interested? Good.  Here's what you need to qualify. 
1.) A second X chromosome. 
2.) A USTA ranking of 2.5-3.5.
3.) The desire for a good time.

Think you're old and washed-up and can't play a lick any longer?  Why not be sure?  On Wednesday nights at 6:30pm from June 15th to July 27th aspiring grandfathers in the Men's Basketball League will be showing their stuff.  (Note to self: download the theme music from that retirement community commercial for The Villages so we can play it over the loudspeakers during league nights.)
